Poker fever hits JCU

By Ottavia Criss

ROME, April 10 - Card-shuffling and poker chips hitting the table could be heard in Classroom 1 Tuesday night as John Cabot University’s expert poker players battled it out for a dinner for two worth over 50 euros at one of the trendiest restaurants in Trastevere, Le Fate.

The final round came down to Braden Davidson, Simon Capello, Simone Boccanera, Evan Skola, and Gianluca Pesce. After Capello, Skola, and Pesce were eliminated, Boccanera finally was able to triumph over Davidson. Boccanera took home the gift certificate to Le Fate.

Emily Menaurd, JCU's Model UN fundraising chair, said, “I am pleased that this event was a success despite the rain that moved it from the courtyard inside, I have received positive feedback from many of our players.”

Congratulations to Boccanera and don’t forget to sign up for the next MUN Poker Night!
